Principal

Karen is a Principal at Camino and brings two decades of nonprofit leadership experience to her work with Camino Consulting Group. She supports executives, boards, and teams with strategic planning, development strategy, facilitation, and organizational problem-solving. Karen is known for her practical approach, steady presence, and ability to help leaders create clarity and alignment during times of growth or transition.

Before consulting, Karen held senior leadership roles with Reading Partners, including serving as Senior Executive Director in Washington, DC, and later overseeing national development efforts. She has worked closely with a wide range of nonprofit organizations to strengthen fundraising, improve team culture, and build more effective decision-making and planning systems.

Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Ball State University and an MBA from The George Washington University.

She lives in Washington, DC with her two boys, Joey (7) and Ryan (5). Outside of work, she’s a functional fitness enthusiast, an aspiring interior/exterior designer, and a nutrition habits coach.
